On January 18, 1951, a committee was formed to help bring telephone service into rural Horry County homes and businesses. With the help of the Horry Electric Cooperative and County Agent V.M. Johnston, several men including P.S. Page, H.E. Hayes, C.G. Bullock, A.B. Jackson, Joe Blount, F.M. Edge, Harry Davis, Barney Long and F.M. Shuford, came together to create the foundation that would eventually become the nation’s largest telephone cooperative.

Founded in Myrtle Beach, SC. in 2002, Dalton Pictures has released over 30 films theatrically since its inception. In 2019 A Dalton Pictures release qualified for an Oscar, in 2020 Dalton Pictures produced and released “A Carolina Christmas” which released theatrically across the nation including IMAX. In 2020 Dalton Pictures embark on its largest venture to date, a new Motion Picture studio with over 20,000 sq feet in Loris, SC. Completion is expected in 2024. Projects and tours will begin after its completion.

The Cultural Arts Endeavor was created to assist a diverse cross section of artists cultivate their personal voice through art while promoting unity by exploring and supporting culture through a variety of art modems. The CAE strives to be an inclusive institution that facilitates respectful dialog and a free exchange of ideas.
Art allows preservation and education for the enrichment of present and future generations. The CAE strives to help build bridges to communities which lack exposure to art and culture.
